I use the Steam version of Far Cry 2, but I'm not sure why it wouldn't work on other versions. My PC is a Ryzen 7 2700X, 16 GB of RAM, Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti, Windows 10 64bit, Creative X-Fi (all updated). It shows the Far Cry 2 logo, then a black screen with loading logo and it comes back on desktop without error message. I have tried to copies step by step all files and I discovered that when replace the patch.dat and patch.fat the game doesn't start.
I have copied all files but the game doesn't start.
