Even Traktor remix decks can be set to that behaviour. I use this a lot on a DSI Tempest and I think Ableton can also function like that, but I mostly use Ableton for the arrangement view. So if it was set to 1/4, then the clip would change on the 13th step in the example above.

If that's not available, then measure 3, etc. So if you are on measure 7, 11th step and switch clips, the clips should switch to measure 7, 12th step on the chosen clip. It would be awesome if that can be changed in an update. IMHO, the most important issue with the clips is that you can only switch clips on the 1.
